The highly anticipated pan-Indian film Kalki 2898 AD is poised to break records at the box office upon its global release. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the dystopian science-fiction epic is expected to earn up to Rs 200 crore on its opening day, potentially marking the highest gross for 2024 and securing the third-highest opening day earnings in cinema history. If these estimates hold true, Prabhas would claim three of the top five biggest opening days ever.

Sacnilk reports unprecedented advance sales in Telugu-speaking regions and a rising interest in Hindi-speaking markets where Prabhas' popularity is growing. Preliminary figures suggest the Hindi version of Kalki 2898 AD could match the pre-sales of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire. Sacnilk projects the film to earn between Rs 120 crore and Rs 140 crore on its opening day in India.
